Quantas vezes ouviu ou talvez você mesmo tenha proferido esta frase!
E não é que seja fora de acerto, mas acontece que pode ser entendida de maneira errada e, com isso, converter-se num anestesiante das forças do espírito.
Esperar e deixar-se embalar; esperar... e aguardar passivamente; esperar... e adormecer; esperar ... e enganar-se. Tudo isto constitui formas diversas de covardia, de inação, de preguiça; são formas com as quais acobetamos estados psíquicos que temos, pouco confessáveis para nossa própria consciência.
Em compensação, trabalhar com perseverança, esforçar-se com bravura, pensar seriamente em ordem à ação, confiar em si mesmo e confiar em Deus, esperar que nosso esforço pessoal há de triunfar e que para isso Deus nos ajudará, isto é verdadeiramente "esperança".
A esperança não pode inibir, não pode alienar; a esperança solta melhor as asas e impele para a ação.
Um dia de muita esperança pra você.

In compensation, to work with perseverance, to make an effort with bravery, to think seriously in order to the action, to trust in himself and to trust God, to hope our personal effort must triumph and that for that God will help us, that is truly "hope."
The hope cannot inhibit, it cannot alienate; the hope loosens the wings better and it impels for the action.
